Located in Newton, North Carolina just outside of Hickory, Catawba Country Club offers top-of-the-line tennis facilities.  With eight lighted courts — four Har-Tru clay and four artificial grass – we have something for all levels.  We offer private, individual and group lessons with clinics, camps and tournaments throughout the year.  If you are interested in a friendly match or a competitive league, you will enjoy the camaraderie and opportunities at Catawba.
 
Our full-service Tennis Pro Shop offers a broad selection of merchandise including footwear, apparel, racquets and accessories along with racquet restringing and regripping services.

Pro Shop Hours:
Monday-Friday  9:00 am to 6:00 pm
Saturday  9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Sunday  1:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Jason T. Burgess,
Tennis Professional

Supervising Catawba Country Club’s tennis facilities and programs is Jason Burgess, a USPTA-rated tennis professional. He has over 20 years of teaching experience under the guidance of ATP Tour professionals as well as USTPA and USPTR Elite and Master Professionals. Jason played Division 2 tennis at High Point University and has run junior tournaments and pro-am events raising money for local charities. Jason offers lessons and clinics to juniors and adults of all ages and abilities.
