With approximately 200 picturesque acres located in Newton, North Carolina just outside of Hickory, Catawba Country Club offers a championship-caliber golfing experience. Unmatched in the Catawba Valley region, our course was designed in 1946 by Donald Ross, the famed architect whose well-known work also includes Pinehurst’s prestigious Number Two Course. Retained to design a facility that would offer a unique golfing experience, Ross produced a distinctive 18-hole championship course that is always a challenge, never mastered and, above all, playable day in and day out.
